2018-12-26 · Credit: Marylene Eytier Carlos Santana is best-known for melding rock with Latin music, but the guitar legend says his band's next studio album is inspired by the sounds of Africa. Carlos tells ABC Radio that the group worked with producer Rick Rubin on the record, which is titled Africa Speaks, due out "between spring and summer" 2019.

That EP acts as a preamble to his 25th studio album released in June of 2019 "Africa Speaks". Having been a Santana fan for decades and having enjoyed everything that he has produced to date; I have to say that Carlos has now officially lost it. Africa speaks has glimpses of his undoubted talent but is overwhelmingly garbage. Tracks which are instantly forgettable, no coherent rhythm or melody, a singer screaming like a banshee.
